Blog Assignment #2

The 5 websites that I found after searching for ESP sites are:
1.www.wikipedia.org
2.www.skepdic.com
3.www.encarta.msn.com
4.www.themystica.com
5.www.parapsych.org
I believe that all of these websites will be helpful to me in finding information to write essay 1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extrasensory_perception and http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761552170/Extrasensory_Perception.html goes into detail about the history of ESP, researches done on the subject, experiments performed, and also skepticism on ESP. http://www.skepdic.com/esp.html is a website and a book that covers definitions, arguments, and essays on many topics related to the supernatural and paranormal. http://www.themystica.org/mystica/articles/e/esp_extrasensory_perception.html is an online encyclopedia that covers topics including magic, paranormal, and the occult. http://www.parapsych.org/ is a website for the Parapsychological Association where scientists and scholars study psi, or psychic experiences. This website has some really neat things like psi experiments, surveys/questionairres, and psi journals. Each of these websites seem to be credible. They have authors and are copyrighted.

Blog Entry #1

Well first of all I must say that I am very excited that our discussion topic will be the paranormal. In my opinion the definition of paranormal is when something happens and their is no scientific explanation of why that happened. I have always been intrigued by the paranormal. I truly believe that ghosts, spirits, and demons really do exist. I also believe in God, the devil, heaven, and hell. As a child I can remember sitting with my family at night and listening to ghost stories. I'm really looking forward to sharing some of my experiences with the class and also hearing about others' experiences with the paranormal.
